Jazz en Mars | Francesca Tandoi Trio et Three Swinging tenors
Join us at 8:30 p.m. for an evening with Francesca Tandoi, part of a new generation of straight-head jazz musicians. Like Emmet Cohen, she knows tradition like the back of her hand, and draws inspiration from such greats as Oscar Peterson, Phineas Newborn and Gene Harris to find her own musical direction.
Francesca Tandoi: piano and vocals
Stefano Senni: double bass
Giovanni Campanella: drums
Followed at 10pm by “Three swinging Tenors” is a “tenor summit” imagined by saxophonist Michel Pastre with two American tenor saxophonists: Scott Hamilton and Harry Allen. Inspired, among others, by the famous Texas tenors of the legendary Illinois Jacquet, Arnett Cobb and Buddy Tate, of which Scott Hamilton was a member in the 80s.
Philippe Milanta: Piano
Bruno Rousselet: Double bass
Phillipe Maniez: Drums
Reservations recommended.
